BESTDirect Online Trading uses the CME's
FIX API connection for routing orders directly into GLOBEX2. This
bypasses the TOPS order routing system providing traders with a
direct connection to GLOBEX2.
When you place an order through BESTDirect Online Trading, a small packet of
information is sent from your computer to BESTDirect Online Trading. This checks
your account for sufficient margin then passes your order through
the FIX API into GLOBEX2. Once filled, a fill report is sent out
of GLOBEX2 to BESTDirect Online Trading, which is immediately sent back to you,
the client.
BESTDirect Online Trading was one of the first online trading platforms to be
chosen to route orders directly into GLOBEX2 via the FIX API.
