PFG Launches New Website: Added Focus on Managed Funds, Forex, Industry-leading Futures Account Management

PFG also Promotes Liam Boyle to Chief Information Officer;
Names Eric Hanna as Webmaster

CHICAGO, June 7, 2004 – Peregrine Financial Group, Inc. (PFG) today announced it has re-designed the company’s website to add new product and service capabilities in its strategic growth areas of managed funds, and forex products and services. With thousands of individual traders and brokers utilizing its BEST Direct™ online futures and forex trading system, PFG is an industry leader in online account management and on-demand customer service.

“We have made design and navigational changes based on web trend reports showing our customers’ preferences and the content that they find most useful,” said PFG chief operations officer Russ Wasendorf, Jr. PFG clients range from brokers who manage multiple accounts online, to individual traders and novice investors, he noted. The website www.pfgbest.com receives a million hits per week on average. “We can educate personal traders beginning with general descriptions of futures products and terminologies, then enable them to download simulation software. When ready to trade, a PFG customer can electronically open an account in less than five minutes. This is ‘on-demand’ service, which is synonymous with PFG’s goals of customer satisfaction,” said Wasendorf. Managed futures and forex are fast-growing areas of interest to new and existing customers, and the greatest number of hits by far is on “My Account” for customers to manage their futures accounts, he added.

PFG recently promoted Liam Boyle to the role of chief information officer with responsibilities for PFG’s electronic trading platforms linking directly into global futures exchange engines, and with oversight of all internal and external technologies. Boyle, 39, was vice president of IT for PFG for six years. Before he began with PFG, Boyle was with Knight-Ridder Financial Services. He reports to PFG’s chief operations officer Russ Wasendorf, Jr.

PFG has also named a new webmaster to enhance and deliver its main retail website, www.pfgbest.com. Eric Hanna, 31, has worked with Boyle for one and a half years as a programmer and technician creating customer service intranets, detailed customer web reports for the BEST Direct trading platform and online account forms used by PFG customers around the globe. He has also started a web development program called IB Web Services which will assist PFG Introducing Brokers in developing their own websites. Hanna continues to report to Boyle.

PFG is a futures commission merchant with brokerage and branch offices around the world. It offers a diverse range of trading and investor products and services. The company is a leader in offering alternative investment vehicles such as managed funds, full-service brokerage, trader education, research, and direct online futures trading through its BEST Direct platform.
