PFG Boosts Efforts to Target Asian Market:
Shanghai Office Provides Local Focus and Service

Chicago, February 14, 2007 – Peregrine Financial Group, Inc. (PFG) announced that it has opened an office in Shanghai as part of the expansion of the PFG Asian Division. This local office will accommodate the growing demand from Asian nationals and Chinese-speaking clients for futures, foreign exchange (forex) and options education, products and services.

Mr. Kem Chong, director of the PFG Asian Division, said that PFG has a loyal following of Chinese investors and traders, and that providing clients with access to markets and market information in the languages they prefer, via platforms that work well internationally, will continue to be a core strength for PFG.

"China-based customers are very enthusiastic about PFG's BEST Direct Web platform which has great advantages over competitors, making markets accessible in real time from a personal computer without the burden of downloading a large file. BEST Direct Web offers some of the industry's most innovative features for trading futures, options and forex markets, or a combination of these. Another important key to the integrity that clients seek is the fact that PFG has always kept its forex business inside a regulated Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) with funds separated from the company’s operating funds. Best practices in back office accounting services and account management are also very clear value propositions to this emerging market segment," Mr. Kem Chong stated.

Added PFG Chief Operating Officer Russ Wasendorf, Jr., "One of our company's key growth initiatives is the expansion of global distribution. In addition to this important Shanghai office, PFG has branches, subsidiaries, a network of Introducing Brokers (IBs), and customers in more than 80 countries. Technology objectives and continuous development of our industry-leading distribution network and product offering for the retail investor/trader are among PFG's critical strategic objectives," he said.

The variety of systems that PFG specializes in helps customers select the best trading services for their needs. PFG platforms include BEST Direct, BEST Direct Web, BEST Direct FX Express, BEST Direct FX Options, BEST Direct ProTrader and Currenex, among others. PFG also offers full service brokerage accounts with access to brokers' strategies and trading systems at competitive rates. PFG's managed account services are specifically designed for private individuals, financial institutions and global corporations who require the highest level of transparency and high return on investments with a diversified level of risk, whether the markets of choice are commodities, futures, spot forex or institutional forex.

PFG specializes in direct, online trading of futures through BEST Direct, one of the first electronic trading platforms to link retail customers directly to Globex in 1998. PFG invests heavily in its industry-leading technologies and the simulation trading platform BEST Test™, which helps enhance trading skills of novice and experienced traders. In addition, PFG offers managed futures and forex, plus specialized trading systems and research. PFG is one of the top futures commission merchants (FCMs), according to the Futures Industry Association. Please visit or to learn more.
