CHICAGO, July 10, 2003: Peregrine Financial Group, Inc. (PFG) today announced Patricia Campbell’s appointment as senior vice president for public relations and communications. Campbell returns to Chicago from Boston, Mass., where she most recently served as a principal of State Street Global Advisors and as a communications officer for State Street Corporation.

“Patricia’s strategic focus and breadth of experience will help PFG leverage its
many capabilities for personal investors,” said Russell Wasendorf Sr., chairman and chief executive officer. “Her talent and commitment match our focus on unparalleled client service and reliability in delivering our proprietary trading technologies, our suite of investment products, brokerage and trading services, and our education and training opportunities to a global client base of individual investors. Because our company is in an explosive growth phase, we are delighted to have recruited a highly skilled communicator with deep understanding of the dynamic financial services landscape.”

Prior to her State Street tenure in Boston, Campbell was a senior vice president with Bank of America in Chicago. As a corporate affairs executive for the global Private Bank unit of BAC, she wrote and executed communication campaigns
that helped lead the division to a number one ranking in 2000.

Campbell’s career also spans equity and derivatives exchange communications and media. She was a director of public relations at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) from 1990 to 1997, a filing editor and markets correspondent with Reuters from 1987 to 1990, and manager of media relations for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) during a period of intensive new product development and sharp volume growth from 1983 to 1987, when stock index futures and options were in their infancy. She holds a BA degree from the University of Northern Iowa.
