PFG Announces Bill Hoerter to Director of Business Development

CHICAGO, April 20, 2006: Peregrine Financial Group, Inc. (PFG) has appointed Bill Hoerter as director of business development. With 25 years of hands-on market experience as a chief forex dealer, desk manager, and specialist in market making, swap pricing, and forex spot and derivative markets, Hoerter will unite new and seasoned investors and traders to the wide range of products and services available to retail and institutional customers at PFG. His work will extend to product engineering to meet the ever growing demand for foreign exchange investment opportunities and for new capabilities to capture profits in forex, the fastest-growing division of PFG.

"PFG remains true to its commitment of educating its clients. Bill’s expertise is invaluable as we continue to expand our product offering – with managed accounts, foreign exchange products and strategies, and enhanced technologies to provide our customers with every edge imaginable," said PFG Chief Operating Officer Russ Wasendorf, Jr.

Throughout his career, which began with arbitraging currency futures on the IMM in the early 1980s through senior market maker in foreign currency spot, futures and EFPs, Hoerter has demonstrated his leadership capabilities and been an outspoken advocate for investor education. Said Wasendorf, "PFG’s customers are the beneficiaries of Bill’s particular ability to develop products and tools that permit even broader diversification opportunities in cash and derivative markets, and tools that help our client base gain account management and trade execution advantages."

Before joining PFG, Hoerter was chief forex dealer and 24 hour desk manager at Alaron Trading. His experience includes management of forex trading at Refco FX, formerly Lind-Waldock. A host of achievements in the areas of currency market specialization include being a volume leader on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange’s IMM floor for Drexel Burnham Lambert and several other wirehouses. He was an influential participant in the "beta" development of Globex in its earliest stages, and helped start up forex desk operations for several other leading firms in the U.S.

PFG is one of the largest non-clearing U.S. futures commission merchants, with brokerage and branch offices in more than 20 countries. PFG is an industry leader in trader education and online futures trading through its BEST Direct™ platform, the first to deliver customer orders to the CME’s Globex engine in 1998. PFG offers a diverse range of trading and investment products and services including managed funds and other alternative investments, full-service futures brokerage, and forex products and services.
