PFGBEST Promotes Rita Tandaric to Anti Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Director
CHICAGO, March 5, 2012 – PFGBEST today announced that Rita Tandaric has been named the company’s Anti Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Director.
Tandaric has been with PFGBEST for more than a year, serving as part of the overall compliance team. She brings nearly three decades of experience in coordinating administrative, legal, compliance and regulatory requirements for financial services firms regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the National Futures Association to this position.
Prior to joining PFGBEST, she had served for nine years as Legal and Compliance Officer for Tokyo-Mitsubishi Futures (USA) Inc., in Chicago, and before that as the Administrative Officer for that firm for eight years. She has been a member of the Illinois Bar since 1993.
Ms. Tandaric utilizes her law degree from John Marshall Law School, among other academic credentials and industry registrations, to help oversee implementation of compliance and operational policies and procedures. She continues to help develop procedures for corporate governance and requirements stipulated in the USA Patriot Act, including AML and privacy policies. She has had a lead role in development of disaster recovery plans and other business continuity preparedness for Tokyo-Mitsubishi Futures (USA) Inc. and more recently as part of the PFGBEST team.
Ms. Tandaric began her career at Rosenthal Collins Group in 1981 and held a number of positions pertinent to registration and compliance, filing of daily exchange and government reports, assisting auditors, training both registrants and employees on new regulatory requirements, and working closely with the sales force to improve and promote a compliance culture. She earned her National Commodity Futures Examination (Series 3) in 1987 and was registered as an Associated Person and Introducing Broker that same year.
