PFGBEST's Leadership
Patricia Campbell
Senior Vice President of Communications for PFGBEST
Patricia (Pat) Campbell joined the company in 2003 and relocated to Chicago from Boston, where she had been with State Street Global Advisors and State Street Corporation for nearly three years.
Pat has more than 20 years of experience in journalism, media relations, public
affairs and executive communications and strategic planning. With a skill set that
includes web content management, speech writing and design and execution of public
relations campaigns and special events, she often serves as PFGBEST's spokesperson and
is a highly visible and outspoken advocate for investor education and electronic
trading.
Originally in the news department with a National Public Radio affiliate in
Iowa, she began her career in the financial services industry as writer and editor
of Commodities Report, a four-page advisory newsletter. From there, Pat moved to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange
and became manager of media relations during an explosive growth period for the exchange
from 1983 to 1987, when stock indexes and futures options were being launched at a record
pace. Recruited by Reuters, she served as correspondent and later filing editor, covering
markets and general news in the Chicago bureau. During that same period, Pat was also a Reuters contributor
to The Nightly Business Report on public television.
Following stints at the Chicago Board Options Exchange as a director, and at Bank of America
as a senior vice president in the Asset Management Division, she continued her focus on investment management
at SSgA as a principal and then as part of the leadership at PFGBEST.
