Liam J. Boyle
Chief Information Officer of PFGBEST
Under Liam J. Boyle's direction, PFGBEST released the BESTDirect
Online Trading system. Applying the simple principals of fast, easy and
reliable, the BESTDirect Online Trading system has become a widely used, well accepted
and mature online trading platform with capabilities for multiple asset classes. With its user-friendly graphical
user interface (GUI), real-time quotes, pre-trade risk assessment capabilities
and connections to all major futures exchanges, the BESTDirect Online Trading platform is the keystone
of the PFGBEST technology group.
Liam joined PFGBEST in 1998. Prior to assuming the role of CIO, Liam was vice president of Information
Technology. He helped shape the direction of the company’s technology
strategies and development of online and back office operations. As the
head of the technology group, Liam is responsible for software development,
R&D and project management. With a focus on customer-driven innovations,
his technology group is continuously improving its products and evolving
into new areas of growth.
Prior to joining PFGBEST, Liam founded a software firm, specializing in
online trading, automated trading systems and back office functionality.
He held the position of systems manager for Knight-Ridder Financial from
1988-1995.
