PFGBEST's Leadership
George Cocalis
Director of Managed Futures and co-Managing Partner, AFB LLC
George Cocalis
has worked in the futures industry since 1990 and, prior to joining PFGBEST, was the currency trade desk manager overseeing Lind Waldock’s agricultural, S&P
500 and currency trading floor operations and supervising more than 100 employees. He made his move to the trading office as a registered AP in 2004, where
he began working directly with brokerage clients, offering them his trading experience and knowledge gleaned during his years in the trading pits. In 2008,
he became a Managing Partner of AFB LLC CTA (Commodity Trading Advisor) along with his trading partner Dwayne Pliska. The CTA specializes in managed gold
futures and options and, due to his expertise in the market, George earned the alias “Gold Bug”, which he uses when writing articles and appearing on First
Business, Fox Business and numerous other financial broadcast venues. George continues to offer his services to traders in need of broker assistance while
he also manages client funds within the CTA.
